Terms of service
These terms cover the CueCircle desktop app, this website, and the service behind both. Using any of them means agreeing to them.

Who you are dealing with
What you get
The subscription is 39.99 dollars a month and includes 400 minutes of live session each billing period, which is 6h 40m of conversation.
Tax is added on top of that price where it applies to you. The figure above is the price before tax.
You can buy additional minutes on top of the included ones.
What the credit does
Included minutes are for the period they were granted in. They do not roll over: whatever is unused at the end of a period goes, and the next period starts with a fresh allowance.
Minutes you buy on top are different. They do not expire, and they stay on the account until they are used.
Included minutes are spent first. There is a ceiling on how much bought credit one account may hold at once.
The free trial
A new account gets 20 minutes of session free, with no card. Once per email address, and anything after a + in an address counts as the same address. Making a second account to get the trial again is not allowed.
The free minutes arrive once you confirm your email address.
Who you are buying from
Stripe is the seller of record for the subscription and for any additional minutes. Your receipt will say so, and Stripe handles the payment and any dispute about it.
Card details are entered on Stripe’s own page. We never see them.
Cancelling
Cancel whenever you like, from the account page or the billing portal. Nothing has to be asked for and nobody has to be written to.
Access runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. After that the subscription stops renewing, the included minutes stop arriving, and any minutes you bought on top stay on the account.
Cancelling the subscription does not delete the account or anything in it. Deleting the account is described in the privacy policy.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds. The refund policy sets out what that means and what it does not.
What an answer is, and is not
The answers this product writes are produced by a language model from a transcript of what was said. They are suggestions.
They are not warranted to be correct, complete, current or suitable for any purpose. They are not legal, medical, financial or professional advice of any kind. Read an answer before you say it, and do not rely on one for anything that matters without checking it.
The app also decides what counts as a question. It will sometimes answer something you did not mean as a question, and it will sometimes miss one. That is a property of the thing and not a defect we are promising to remove.
Recording other people
This product records a conversation in which one party is not our customer. The law on recording another person differs by country and in some places by state, and in many of them it requires that person’s consent.
Recording somebody without a lawful basis for doing so is prohibited by these terms. Deciding whether you have one is yours, not ours, and the app offers you a sentence to say out loud before a session starts for exactly that reason.
Nothing in this product is designed to be hidden from the person you are speaking to.
Where it may not be used
Using CueCircle where it breaks the rules of an examination, an interview, an assessment, a certification or an employer is prohibited by these terms.
That is a rule you can break without us ever knowing, and the consequence lands on you rather than on us: a failed exam, a withdrawn offer, a disciplinary process. Using it in those places is entirely at your own risk, and these terms do not excuse it.
The service
We do not promise that the service will be available at any particular time. It depends on companies we do not control, and a session can fail in the middle for reasons no part of this product can prevent.
We may change what the product does, and we may change these terms. A change to these terms is published on this page with its own date, and continuing to use the product after that is agreeing to it.
We may suspend or end an account that is being used in breach of these terms.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability to you for anything connected with this product is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing in them takes away a statutory right you have as a consumer where you live.
